Will there be a possibility for Hilary Duff and Aaron Carter's dating story to be rekindled? A reconciliation between the two singers might soon take place now that Carter has announced his feelings for the 'Lizzie McGuire' actress.

Through his Twitter page, the 26-year-old says he is "stupid" for letting go of Duff:  

Don't be that stupid douche that loses the love of your life forever.. Like me...

The Florida-born singer likewise publicized his mission to win back the blonde beauty:

I'll spend the rest of my life trying to better myself to get back to her. I don't care what ANY of you think.

The tweets were quickly associated with Duff for Carter also retweeted a photo of the 'Cadet Kelly' actress with the caption: "Hilary Duff is flawless."

Carter and Duff adted in 2000s but their blissful relationship has been tested when Lindsay Lohan came. They eventually parted ways which prompted Duff to marry Mike Comrie. Sadly, the marriage ended. Despite Duff's ill-fated marriage, she has been blessed with baby Luca.

However, is Carter's confession really sincere or is he aspiring to re-enter the music industry?

In November 2013, the 'Saturday Night' singer filed a bankruptcy petition hoping to remove more than $2 million from his debts which were mostly taxes.

"He had just $60 cash in his wallet and $917 in his checking account when he signed the petition last month. His bank savings account held just $5.His personal property includes a 61-inch flat screen TV and his cell phone, all valued at just $500. He does wear a $3,750 Breitling watch. Clothing, two laptops, a guitar and a Louis Vuitton backpack put his fortune at just $8,200," reads a report by CNN.

Carter might be simply regretting his love decisions as a teen and now that Duff is unattached again, he is hoping to give love another chance.
