Samsung Galaxy S5 Rumors: Metal-Clad Version Of Fresh Flagship Could Still Be Under Way, Could Boast 2K (2560 x 1440) Display But Have Limited Availability

Samsung Galaxy S5 rumors: Even after the official unveiling of the next Galaxy flagship smartphone, rumors still haven't not stopped pouring in.

According to a report from BGR, the new flagship could be covered by a water-resistant plastic with a 'bandaid' design (thanks HTC), but a new rumor is circulating that it isn't too late for a premium version of the device.

SamMobile, knowledgeable of all things Samsung, claims that the Korean tech giant is still geared to launch a metal-clad edition of the Galaxy S5.

In its report, it first stated the super obvious - that Samsung loves plastic-covered smartphones because they are easier to reproduce. That may be one reason why the official Galaxy S5 has it, instead of the metal cover which has been rumored for the past months.

Fortunately, SamMobile insists that there is still a possibility for the company to use metal to launch a premium version, which would surely cost more than the current Galaxy S5's €600 pricetag.

In case the rumor pans out to be true, the report says the premium Galaxy S5 could boast a 2k display (2560 x 1440) instead of the 1080p resolution of the current model, an iris scanner which has already been included in previous rumors, and other exciting features.

Unfortunately, SamMobile also said that this premium version may also have limited availability due to the supply constraints of using metal as a cover for the smartphone.

So, are you betting on this rumor?
