Upcoming Samsung phones 2014: In true Samsung fashion, the Korean tech giant has just unveiled a new 'mini' device, but not based on the Galaxy S5, neither the S4.

The new Galaxy Value Edition is based on the S3 which launched almost two years ago. 

According to the report by GSM Arena, the Android-powered handset will feature identical specs as its bigger and older sibling, save for the Quad-Core CPU which has been replaced with a dual-core Cortex-A9 processors with cores running at 1.2GHz. 

Also on board is Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean which is a bit disappointing. The company should have upgraded it to KitKat to get more market. 

In the report, the Samsung Galaxy S3 mini Value Edition will cost only €180 and is now available in the Netherlands. 

Unfortunately, there are no details yet whether the budget phone will arrive to the international market as well.
