‘Mean Girls’ Reunion Movie Finally Happening? Lindsay Lohan Reveals Tina Fey Is Already Speaking To ‘Big Bosses’ For A Film Sequel

While it might be deemed as a small film in 2004, no one thought that Mean Girls would blossom into one of the most quotable films of all time. With the film's upcoming 10th anniversary, fans cannot help but wonder if there will be a Mean Girls reunion.

In her appearance last Thursday night (March 6) on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, lead actress Lindsay Lohan hinted that there might be a possible Mean Girls reunion.

"When I was backstage I saw Tina [Fey], and she mentioned some sort of reunion. That would be amazing. She said she was talking to Lorne about it, so she was talking to the big boss," Lohan said.

She was pertaining to film producers Tina Fey and Lorne Michaels who first believed in the potential of the book-based film.

For Lohan, the sequel is very important that she even appealed to Fey on-camera:  "Tina, this is important. This needs to happen."

Apart from Lohan, other stars who are in the film include Amanda Seyfried, Rachel McAdams, Rajiv Surendra, and Daniel Franzese.

Previously, it was reported that McAdams was the initial choice for the role of Mean Girls heroine Cady Heron. However, Ryan Gosling's former lady love reportedly didn't have the "innocent" aura. For this reason, McAdams got to play the role of Queen Bee Regina George whereas Lohan nabbed Heron's role.
