One of the top prospects in the world for the past few years, forward Evgeny Kuznetsov agreed to an entry-level contract Saturday with the Capitals, and took part in a 45-minute skate Sunday morning with coach Adam Oates and conditioning coach Mark Nemish. Kuznetsov will play against the Penguins, starting on the fourth line, according to NHL.com.

"Any hockey player wants to play in the NHL, wants to win the Cup. It's my dream, [to] play in NHL," Kuznetsov said. "I'm ready, 100 percent. I want to play. If you good hockey player it doesn't matter where you play -- big ice, small ice. I'm ready to play hard hockey. I'm not scared."

Kuznetsov will join the NHL's leading goal-scorer in Alex Ovechkin (44) as the Caps battle the NHL's leading point-scorer in Crosby (84).

Brandon Sutter delivered big with a goal in the sixth round of the shootout win over the Ducks on Friday. The win prevented the Penguins from losing four of their first five since the Olympics.

"I'm glad to get out of here with two points," Sutter told ESPN.com. "It wasn't easy at all, but I think we earned it at the end. We managed to find a way and battled. (Marc-Andre) Fleury made some big saves for us. Anytime you get a shootout win, you have to tip your hat to him. It's a great win for us."
