PlayStation Plus Free Games: Cross-Buy Title ‘Lone Survivor: Director’s Cut’ Entering Instant Game Collection Tomorrow, March 11; Spring Fever Sale Still Ongoing

One of the PlayStation Plus free games for this month is scheduled to enter the Instant Game Collection tomorrow, March 11.

According to Joystiq, "Lone Survivor: The Director's Cut is going to be this week's PlayStation Plus free game. As described on PlayStation.com, Lone Survivor is a "psychological survival adventure game which has taken elements from classic adventure games and the best elements of the survival horror genre to create something you haven't seen before."

Moreover, players can "expect scares, scarcity of ammo and exploration of surreal and atmospheric environments to be a big part of the game, but there's also an element of psychological horror and choice that often isn't explored in modern survival horror titles"

Although the game is listed as a PS3 release, this PlayStation Plus free game is actually a Cross-Buy title, meaning, the PS Plus memebrs can get both its PS3 and PS Vita versions for free.

"Lone Survivor: Director's Cut" features a host of additional content, which were not available in the original PC version, according to GameZone. The Director's Cut includes "20 new items, fresh NPC dialogue, two "extensive" side quests, two extra locations, a new piece of music, and a new "Yellow" ending."

Last week, "Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition" as well as "Tomb Raider" entered Sony's Instant Game Collection as two other PlayStation Plus free games for the month of March. According to BGR, the other PlayStation Plus free games announced for this month are  "Thomas Was Alone," "Unit 13" and "Monster Hunter: Freedom Unite."

Aside from the PlayStation Plus free games arriving this month, members can also look forward to the Spring Fever which offers game discounts for PS Plus Members.  "Towerfall: Ascension" and "Vessel" will both get launch discounts, available for $12 and $8, respectively. There will also be offers for Call of Duty titles, as well as its downloadable contents.
