Upcoming Android Tablets 2014: Nexus 8 Running On Android 4.5 Rumored To Boast Intel's 64-Bit Quad-Core Processor, Promises 'Enhanced GPU' And 'Faster Memory'

Upcoming Android tablets 2014: Previous reports claim that Google will soon trash the Nexus lineup in favor of the Google Play Edition family. But until that time comes, it looks like the Android creator is still planning to work wonders with a new Nexus 8 tablet.

According to a report from BGR, the rumored Nexus 8 Android tablet could have one of the fastest chipsets in the industry today. 

A couple of weeks ago, Intel unveiled its Atom "Moorefield" which features a 64-bit quad-core processor. In the report, the processor is "expected to be available in the second half of the year." 

During its press event, Intel even claimed that the frequency may be upped to 2.3GHz which would provide "an enhanced GPU and support for faster memory." 

More rumors suggest that the Nexus 8 would run on PowerVR G6430 GPU which is one of the fastest in the market today.
