Taylor Swift’s Red Tour Rakes In More Money For The “Love Story” Singer; Earns No. 1 Spot In Billboard’s “Money Makers”

Taylor Swift's Red Tour has by far helped rake in more money for the "Love Story" singer than any other recording artist in 2013 as she earned a well deserved spot on Billboard's top money makers.

Taylor Swift earned $39,699,576.60 from album and Red Tour sales, while another country singer Kenny Chesney was a far second at $32,956,240.70, and "Sexy Back" singer Justin Timberlake at third with $31,463,297.03.

The figures were based on the data collected by Nielsen SoundScan and Broadcast Data Systems, which according to Rolling Stones, tracks spins and sales on radio, TV and the Internet.

The Billboard, meanwhile, estimates the earnings of Taylor Swift and other musicians in the US from the sales of their record albums, concert tours, appearances, royalties, and video streaming or digital music.

Taylor Swift "dominated other artists in every area," Rolling Stones added, as the seven-time Grammy Award winner also ranked fifth in royalty earnings from streaming as well as almost 10 million downloads from her tracks.

Most of Taylor Swift's earnings came from her Red Tour which raked in more than $30 million in the US alone in six months, said CBS News.

Chesney affirmed his status as one of the most bankable country stars as his No Shoes Nation tour which grossed $90 million last year and reached one million in attendance for 10 consecutive tour.

Justin Timberlake's hardwork, meanwhile, paid off as his "The 20/20 Experience" capped a successful 2013 for the crooner after an eight-month layoff.

Taylor Swift also boosted her earnings with sponsorships from Elizabeth Arden, Keds and Diet Coke for her Red Tour, as well as merchandise sales at $17 each.

Bon Jovi still shows he can rock it when he placed fourth in the list after earning $29 million from the Because We Can tour, which reportedly pulled in $205 million in 2013, and royalty from the 1.5 million downloads.

Rounding the top five are The Rolling Stones, mostly from profits from the 50 and Counting tour, Billboard added.
