‘Gran Turismo 7’ Release Date Happening Before DriveClub Arrives? GT7 Going To Be The First Iteration Of The Game Series For Sony PS4; Prologue Version To Be Announced At E3 2014?

When the news about the launch of Driveclub PS4 being delayed surfaced online, the gaming community begin to wonder if the Gran Turismo 7 PS4 release date will happen before the Playstation 4 racing game from Evolution Studios arrives.

As posted on Product-Reviews, "The Driveclub PS4 release date has hit another roadblock in the cloud with a Sony exec now revealing publicly that Driveclub has 'gone back to the drawing board'.

Originally, the game was expected to be one of the launch titles for PS4 but apparently, it did not happen. And unfortunately, gamers who anticipate seeing the DriveClub PS4 this Spring 2014 or during the E3 event in June, will be disappointed to know that the game was further delayed, as it need more fine tuning.

Speaking to IGN, Scott Rohde, Sony Worlwide Studios executive, shared:

So, I think that at PlayStation, perhaps more than at other places, we're willing to kinda eat that [cost], and go back to the drawing board and make sure the game is great before we ship it. And that's what's going on right now with that game.

Because of this revelation, reports are suggesting that Gran Turismo 7 release date may happen before the launch of DriveClub PS4 this 2014. Last year, Kazunori Yamauchi provided a hint regarding possible release of Gran Turismo 7. As cited on a post from Top Gear on November 2013, the GT creator told, "We don't want to take too long on Gran Turismo 7, best-case scenario? Next year."

Furthermore, based on information leaked by Ahsan Rasheed, as posted on Examiner, citing a post from Gaming Bolt, Sony will be revealing several new titles in the "upcoming months leading" to E3 2014. In addition, the insider also disclosed that a prologue version of the Gran Turismo 7 will be announced.

The Examiner post further reads, "Although Polyphony Digital is currently working on the post-launch support for "Gran Turismo 6," the president of the studio hinted in the past that they are developing new title in the series for the PS4."
