Samsung Tizen Phone Could Be Close To Launch As Obsidian UI Gets Demoed In Leaked Video, Features Rotatable Icons, Diamond-Shaped Notifications, Widgets, Etc.

Samsung Tizen phone: For the past couple of years, we have been waiting for the Tizen-powered smartphone from Samsung which would reportedly bring it at war with Android's creator  - Google.

However, in spite promising partner companies, suppliers and even a decent prototype version of the device, the Korean tech giant still refuses to give it a go.

Instead, it used the Tizen OS for one of its wearables which it launched at the MWC in Barcelona.

But in a recent report by GSM Arena, the device could be looking forward to an impending launch with the leaked screenshots of the Tizen platform.

Obsidian UI, which powers the Tizen OS interface, looks good with all those diamond-shaped icons. In the report, Samsung even takes it even further with rotatable icons, widgets and notifs.

By all means this feature is not revolutionary and has already been part of many custom launchers in the Play Store, but at least the Korean tech giant wants to provide a fresh look for its Tizen smartphones out of the box, in case it actually sees the light of day that is.
