The Wanted Breakup Update: Max George Not Yet Decided About What To Do During Hiatus; Jay McGuiness Involved In Bar Brawl?

When rumors of The Wanted breakup broke, it was Max George who first gave an interview. Now the boy band member claims he is really not rushing to decide about going solo. Bandmate Jay McGuiness, meanwhile, was reportedly knocked out during a bar brawl.

Max George told Manchester Evening News that he's going to take his time before deciding on what he will be doing during the reported temporary breakup of The Wanted.

"I've just bought a house in Manchester, and I want to have to time to settle down for a bit, take a break and play some golf," he said. "Some people seemed to think I've got a masterplan, and that I'd decided to leave the band which I haven't at all.

Max George said that he's sad about The Wanted breakup but he claimed they were forced into the situation when they separated ways with their record level.

Max George added: "We don't want to call it to the end, because we do want to come back and work together again, but after an amazing four years I think we all want to go and try different things.

The hunky singer also understood about the backlash but it wasn't an easy decision for them all.

"I'll be honest, we weren't really given that much choice. Of course it's upsetting for the fans, and for us, but there was nothing we could do about it."

Meanwhile, bandmate Jay McGuiness was reportedly involved in a brawl in Essex Bar at around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, and worse, was knocked out.

Jay McGuiness, who was tight-lipped about his comments on The Wanted breakup, was tagged by patrons of stealing drinks, according to Mirror.

He was there to support bandmate Tom Parker at the event but refused to leave the establishment. It's not clear what prompted the bar brawl but Jay McGuiness was brought home. Although an ambulance was called, The Wanted star supposedly didn't receive medical treatment, Mirror said.
