Robin Thicke's wife and kid are nowhere to be seen when he celebrated his 37^th birthday. Robin Thicke and Paula Patton are not exactly in good terms because of the divorce. The two have been together since they were 14 years old and have been married for the last nine years.

Instead of having quality time with his family, the 'Blurred Lines' singer opted to go clubbing with Leonardo DiCaprio in West Hollywood, California. While he reportedly tried his best to save the marriage, Robin Thicke's wife and kid might want to teach him a lesson.

While Thicke partied the night away, he likewise had limits. According to onlookers, Thicke didn't dance with other girls as opposed to his sexy "twerk" dance number with Miley Cyrus at the MTV Video Music Awards 2013.

Thicke reportedly did his best to win back Patton's affections. While on tour, he promised her that he wouldn't go out anymore despite his penchant for night parties. Despite rumors of Thicke's infidelity, the singer still wanted to have another chance to be a good husband.

By the end of February, Patton said she wanted a divorce.

This did not stop the Canadian singer from confessing his love for Patton when he performed in New York City last February 27. "For y'all that don't know, me and my wife separated but I'm trying to get my girl back. She's a good woman," he said onstage.

Patton also said in an interview that she'd remain friends with her former husband: "We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time."

At present, Thicke's sole concern is the welfare of their 3-year-old son, Julian Fuego. He is allegedly worried for he does not want his son to be raised in two different homes.

The family was last seen spending time in Vancouver, Canada. Thicke and Patton brought their son to a local arcade and later had lunch at a steakhouse.

Perhaps Thicke and Patton can get a tip from Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom who remain friends for their son despite their separation.
