A release date for one of the upcoming PS4 games this 2014 has been announced.

'Mercenary Kings' is one of the 2014 upcoming PS4 games and recently, Sony revealed that it will arrive next month. Accordingly, Mercenary Kings will be available in the US on April 1. Meanwhile, the upcoming PS4 title will be out in the European market on April 2.

Although it is available on Steam for $14.99; the price for the PS4 title was not mentioned yet. As posted on PlayStation Lifestyle, it hinted that Mercenary Kings might be the PlayStation Plus free game for the PS4 on April 2014, possibly replacing the original game scheduled for next month , "Secret Ponchos."

Describing the gameplay for Mercenary Kings, the post on Polygon reads:

In Mercenary Kings, players take on the role of one of two Mercenary Kings squad members as they navigate Mandragora Island. Players must recuse a brilliant doctor from an evil underground organization and prevent a global takeover. The game can be completed in single-player or with up to four players in online or local co-op. Players can also craft powerful weapons from the more than 300 gun parts and 100 knives scattered through stages.

Meanwhile, according to a post on IGN, citing a Neogaf forum post, there were a number of new indie games coming for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita, as announced during BitSummit, an indie game festival in Kyoto.

One of the upcoming PS4 games is the "Assault Suit Leynos", which is the full PlayStation 4 remake of "Target Earth," a Sega Genesis title. Also, PS4 gamers can expect another title called "One Upon Light," which is a "puzzle game centered around the manipulation and evasion of light."

Another one of the upcoming PS4 games 2014, which is already scheduled to arrive this fall season is a 2D action-platformer title, Rocketbird 2: Evolution. A PS Vita version of the game will also be available.

Two other upcoming PS4 games are shoot 'em titles, "Prismatic Solid" and "Revolver360 Re: Actor."
