Miley Cyrus' scandals might have earned her a reputation that wasn't so nice but the former Disney star proved that she could likewise do heartfelt things. Recently, the 'Adore You' lyrics songstress visited Lulu Martinez, a leukemia-stricken woman who is based in Minnesota.

Martinez attended Cyrus' concert at the Xcel Energy Center in Minnesota. She was then given the chance to meet Cyrus backstage.

It was the patient's older sister, Brittany, who planned the whole meeting. The elder Martinez initiated a Twitter campaign using the hash tag #MileytoLulu. In less than a month, the hash tag became a trending topic which eventually reached Liam Hemsworth's ex girlfriend.

Despite her illness, Martinez is more than happy to meet her favorite pop icon. In an interview with *Kare11, *she described the nervousness she felt prior to going backstage.

"Well, at first I was [nervous] because I wasn't feeling good and I'm like, I'm going to meet Miley and I'm going to puke and she's going to remember me as the girl who puked, but I didn't puke. I was all good. It went smooth. It was memorable. It was nice. She just asked how we were and she said she liked my shirt," she said.

Cyrus willingly took lots of photos with her fan's friends who gave her Lulu's shirt and bracelet.

Martinez cannot hide her pride for the noteworthy meeting: "I'll probably brag about it at school until I graduate and then after I get married too. I'll probably just keep following her on Twitter like I usually do and obsessing like I usually do."

Cyrus' official 'Bangerz' tour Twitter account also acknowledged the meeting:
