New Huawei Phones 2014: Chinese Smartphone Maker Working On Dual-OS Handset With Android 4.4 KitKat And Windows Phone 8.1 On Board, Could Be Announced At Q2 2014

New Huawei phones 2014: Huawei is one of the emerging Chinese brands when it comes to smartphone making, whether be on the Android or Windows Phone platform. And it looks like it has found a way to merge the two platforms and is now developing a dual-OS handset.

According to a report from GSM Arena, Huawei's Chief Marketing Officer Shao Yang talked to TrustedReviews about the company's plans to merge the two platforms in one device.

For the past weeks, we have already heard about several projects which enable dual-boot for multiple operating systems in a single device. The Geeksphone has Mozilla and Android, and other makers are working on a WP/Android tandem as well.

However, Huawei is the first manufacturer that is undeniably capable of such feat.

Working on a handset that solely runs Windows Phone may not get too much attention, but pairing it with Android will certainly make the device more interesting.

According to Huawei's CMO, the dual-OS smartphone could be announced during Q2 this year. We will surely bring you fresh updates about this interesting smartphone.
