Nexus Smartwatch Details Leaked, Rumored Specs Include 1.65" IPS LCD Screen, 512MB RAM, Android 4.4 KitKat, LG Allegedly Tapped For Production

Nexus Smartwatch: It all started couple of years back with the Sony Smartwatch, and last year Samsung's Galaxy Gear made headlines. But while both devices did not quite make an impact, the wearables niche is slowly becoming more popular among Android fans and tech geeks.

And it looks like Google will soon be joining the party.

According to a report from GSM Arena, the Nexus Smartwatch is currently under development and notorious leakster EV Leaks has managed to get some details about the wearable tech.

In its post on Twitter, the famous leakster revealed that LG is once again tapped to do the honors of manufacturing another Nexus device for Google and Android. That means the Nexus device could have similar designs to recent LG releases.

Some purported specs of the Nexus Smartwatch include a 1.65" IPS LCD screen with 280 x 280 resolution, 512MB of RAM which could run most Android apps, and even Android 4.4 Kit Kat.

And while the Nexus device would rely most of the time to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity to a smartphone, it would reportedly get 4GB of internal storage for its own consumption.

While there are no release details yet, we'll make sure to keep you posted on this one.
