Amazon Kindle Phone Dubbed 'Project Aria', Company Already Exploring Potential Markets Outside Of The US

Amazon Kindle phone: As several blogs have reported a couple of days ago, Amazon is quite poised to enter the mobile market with its almost 10% web traffic share among all Android devices in North America.

But as early as now, it looks like the retailer giant is already facing some problems.

According to a report by BGR, while Amazon's Kindle devices have pushed it to second place in web traffic in North America, that is certainly not the case in markets outside of the US and Canada.

If Amazon's 'Project Aria' does launch outside, it should keep its low pricing, market freebies, and a decent specs sheet. In emerging markets especially in India and China, the highest spec'd devices do not necessarily perform well because of their high prices.

Fortunately, if Amazon is able to price its upcoming mobile phones lower, it could definitely grain traction in such competitive markets.

It just have to figure out how to provide content for these devices once they get bought by consumers outside of the US.
