The 2014 Nickelodeon upfront has come and gone, and unlike many predicted, "The Legend of Korra" Book 3 release date was not revealed at this event.

According to Variety, the 2014 Nickelodeon upfront focused on a slew of new programming for the upcoming season, including "Dora and Friends: Into the City," "Blaze and the Monster Machines," "Shimmer & Shine," and "Fresh Beat Band of Spies."

However, this does not mean that "The Legend of Korra" Book 3 won't have a release date in April or May. Given the capacity of the event and how much was unveiled, it stands to reason "Korra" deserves an announcement all to its own.

And co-creators seem to know what the fans are thinking, given that Bryan Konietzko uploaded a new Book 3 photo still of fans favorite Lin Beifong on the same day as the Nickelodeon upfront.

"I love this Book 3 still of my hero, Lin Beifong, from Studio Mir’s animation of a storyboard panel by supervising producer Lauren Montgomery," writes Konietzko on Tumblr.

"It may be hard to believe since Book 3 hasn't even aired yet (SOON!), but we just had the final 'Korra' animatic meeting this afternoon for the Book 4 series finale episode."

The word "soon" is what fans need to remember; at least until a release date is formally announced.

Co-creator Michael DiMartino (who is not nearly as active on Tumblr) also uploaded a cool GIF collage of Zuko from "Avatar: The Last Airbender."

Given the slew of Zuko rumors after the release of the Book 3 teaser trailer, perhaps this is a subtle hint of what's to come in "Change?"
