Final Fantasy 15 Pre-Orders Cancelled As X/X-2 HD Receive Stellar Reviews Before Release Date: Kingdom Hearts 3 Survey Reveals Possible Locations For Square Enix Sequel

As Square Enix prepares to release Final X/X-2 HD, news on Final Fantasy 15 and Kingdom Hearts 3 are less encouraging.

On March 18, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will have its U.S., and so far, reviews have been stellar.

"Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster is outstanding," writes Megan Sullivan on IGN. "With enhanced art and music, tons of extra in-game content, cross-save compatibility, and bundling two huge games for the price of one, it’s a lot of bang for your buck."

In addition to receiving a 9.3 from IGN and Just Push Start, it also has an 8.5 on Now Gamer and a 9.0 from PlayStationLifeStyle.

Sadly, the same cannot be said about Final Fantasy 15 or any release date news.

According to Gaming Bolt, pre-orders for the highly anticipated Final Fantasy 15 has been canceled from retailer goHasting, with the website offering a $5 gift coupon on their next purchase as a consolation.

Epoch Times reports that Square Enix producer Shinji Hashimoto is saying new information regarding both Final Fantasy 15 and Kingdom Hearts 3 will be coming "in the near future."

“We can’t give too much information but certainly looking at ‘Final Fantasy 15,’ it’s not as if it’s in competition with ‘Kingdom Hearts 3’ for resources or anything like that,” says Final Fantasy producer Yoshinori Kitase.

“It’s quite far into development now and it is being given a very high priority within the company itself, but that doesn’t mean Kingdom Hearts isn’t.”

Meanwhile, Kingdom Hearts 3 fans can take a new survey regarding their favorite locations from the franchise, including:

Atlantica (The Little Mermaid)
Beast’s Castle (Beauty and the Beast)
Castle of Dreams (Cinderella)
Deep Space (Lilo and Stitch)
Dwarf Woodlands (Snow White and the Seven Dwarves)
Enchanted Dominion (Sleeping Beauty)
Halloween Town/Christmas Town (Nightmare before Christmas)
Neverland (Peter Pan)
Olympus Coliseum/Underworld (Hercules)
Port Royal (Pirates of the Caribbean)
Pride Lands (Lion King)
Space Paranoids (Tron)
The Land of Dragons (Mulan)
Timeless River (Steamboat Willie)

Hopefully Square Enix will have more news on both Final Fantasy 15 and Kingdom Hearts 3 now that Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD is out.
