Upcoming Samsung Phones 2014: Galaxy S5 Zoom Surfaces In Benchmark Database, Rumored Specs Include 4.8" 720p Display, Hexa-Core CPU, 2GB RAM, 19MP Shooter, Android KitKat

Upcoming Samsung phones 2014: It's only been a couple of weeks since the Galaxy S5 was officially announced at MWC in Barcelona, but from the look of it, it seems Samsung is already preparing to announce its camera-smartphone hybrid sibling as well.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the Galaxy S5 Zoom has recently been spotted on the database of GFXBench benchmarking app, revealing some specs in the process.

Dubbed as Samsung model number SM-C115, the camera-centric version of the Korean tech giant's latest flagship smartphone will boast 19 megapixels of resolution for its primary camera at the back. In addition, there would also be a 2-megapixel shooter in front. Fortunately, both cameras would be able to shoot 1080p videos.

Other alleged specs of the rumored Android-powered handset include a hexa-core chipset composed of four 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 cores and two Cortex-A15s clocked at 1.7GHz each. The Galaxy S5 Zoom is also rumored to pack 2GB of RAM and a Mali-624 GPU.

As far as its outer features are concerned, it packs a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display with HD (1280 x 720) resolution, 16GB of internal memory, hopefully a microSD card slot, and Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box.

For people who are looking for a high quality digital camera but also like a midrange smartphone, then the Galaxy S5 Zoom could be what you've been waiting for. We'll bring you more details of the device in the coming weeks.
