Minecraft PS4 release date is rumored to happen on the second quarter of 2014.

According to a post on Examiner, Minecraft PS4 release date may happen as some point this summer 2014. However, 4J Studios has not yet made any official confirmation about this alleged Minecraft PS4 release date, as well as the launch schedule for the Xbox One edition of the open-world sandbox game.

Meanwhile, it was reported on Segment Next that Minecraft PS4 and Xbox One versions will have high-definition graphics. However, 4J Studios, the company behind the porting of Minecraft to next-generation consoles, said that no huge changes will be made. The post stated, "...developer 4J Studios have confirmed that they do not plan to change the game as much, because as the common saying goes "If it isn't broken, don't fix it."

Moreover, the Minecraft PS4 edition will include extensive multiplayer features. This will allow the gamers to play with their friends through private servers, as well as "and enjoy creating whatever comes to their mind, while exploring the vast and rich world of the game."

Furthermore, it was also mention on the Segment Next post that those who will avail the Minecraft PS4 will "be able to join bigger communities on public servers."

Meanwhile, a teaser for the upcoming Minecraft PS3 DLC was posted by 4J Studios via Twitter. The developer posted a screenshot showing two licensed avatar skins to be included in the Minecraft PS3 skin pack DLC. Particularly, with the soon-to-be released Minecraft PS3 DLC, gamers will be able to play as Nathan Drake from Uncharted, an action-adventure third-person shooter game, as well as the character of Sly Cooper or Sucker Punch.
