iOS 8 release date: Not happy with iOS 7? Then you may be delighted to know that the upcoming version is already in the works. To prove that, alleged screenshots of the new iOS version have even leaked online. 

According to a report by GSM Arena, several images showing the homescreen of what was referred to as iOS 8 appeared on Chinese microblogging website Weibo. 

From what we can see, the new version will look similar to the iOS 7, and features square icons with rounded edges. However, there a few new apps which the alleged iOS 8 update would bring. 

Some of these apps include Healthbook, Preview, TextEdit and Tips, apps which would help users manage their data saved on iCloud. 

However, in the report the icons which appeared on the iOS was in fact icons for OS X, which is pretty odd. So while this homescreen leak looks promising, you may want to take it with a pinch of salt.
