Upcoming Huawei Phones 2014: Chinese Smartphone Manufacturer To Develop More Premium Handsets, "Plastic Is Not So Good" Says Company Executive

Upcoming Huawei phones 2014: Huawei has been doing well in the smartphone competition, and it has managed to make headlines with its recent releases, which is perfect for any marketing strategy.

Now, a new report will make more people love Huawei's new smartphones.

According to a report by Know Your Mobile, the Chinese manufacturer is now experimenting on using other materials other than plastic for the case of its upcoming handsets.

Talking to Trusted Reviews, the company's chief marketing officer Shao Yang mentioned that they would begin using premium materials more as they get good reviews from consumers.

"We are trying out new materials like glass and ceramic so we will become less and less focused on plastic," he said.

While specs and features are very important in determining the worth of a smartphone, its all around design and build are also essential factors which help customers decide. And in a competitive industry where more than one device has the same list of specs, it all boils down to design.

"We think people are very welcoming to metal phones and they think glass is also a good material but plastic is not so good," Yang added, "Consumers are very willing to have something new. Everything new, if it is a good quality, will get very good feedback."
