DriveClub PS4 release date has been delayed.

According to a post on VideoGamer, the game developer, Evolution Studios, has taken the upcoming racing game "back to the drawing board. As revealed by the development head of Sony Worldwide Studios America, Scott Rohde, delaying the DriveClub PS4 release date is to make sure that "the game is great."

Further explaining the late arrival of DriveClub PS4, Rohde told to IGN:

"And we really don't want to release a game before it's ready. And sometimes, this happens in the normal course of business, where we think we're on track to deliver what we think is going to be a great game, and when we get closer, we realize that we'd be doing everyone a disservice if we shipped it before it was ready."

He continued, "So, I think that at PlayStation, perhaps more than at other places, we're willing to kinda eat that [cost] and go back to the drawing board and make sure the game is great before we ship it. And that's what's going on right now with that game."

Meanwhile, as posted on a separate report from VideoGamer,  DriveClub PS4 release date may be set for September 30. Accordingly, Amazon US updated its product listing for the game, revising DriveClub PS4 release date to September 30.

Moreover, customer who pre-ordered DriveClub PS4 are claiming that they have received emails emphasizing a new estimated DriveClub PS4 release date. Particularly, the game may arrive in early October.

DriveClub PS4 release date was originally set for November of last year as a launch title for the latest gaming console from Sony. And until now, no new announcement has been made regarding DriveClub PS4 release date. Rohde who did not confirm that DriveClub PS4 release date will happen this year, stated, "we're not announcing any specifics on [a date] yet".
