Kate Winslet Husband Last Name Not Used By Their Newborn; ‘Titanic’ Actress Explains Why She Named Their Son Bear Blaze

Kate Winslet's husband Ned Rocknroll has no problem when his wife opted not to use his last name for their newborn.  Instead, the 38-year-old actress used her last name for their son, Bear Blaze. She explained her reason to Glamour magazine UK edition.

 "It was always going to have my name. Of course we're not going to call it RocknRoll. People might judge all they like, but I am a f*****g grown-up," she explained. Apart from Bear Blaze Winslet, the blonde beauty has two other children from her previous relationships: Mia, 13, and Joe, 10.

The 'Divergent' star also explained how she chose the unusual name for her baby who's now 14 weeks old: "We settled on Bear quite early on."

 "A friend of mine when I was younger was nicknamed Bear, and I had always really loved it. He was very much a Bear. He was everyone's shoulders to cry on. He was a big bear hug. He was just this great figure in my life, and I just always remembered him," she previously told Ellen DeGeneres.

On the other hand, Blaze pertains to the house fire which took place while Winslet was on a vacation in the Caribbean. It was likewise the incident where she met Bear's father and third husband, Ned Rocknroll.

 "The house burned down and we survived. But we wanted something of the first, and so Blaze was the name we came up with," she said.

She likewise recalled another peculiar moment when she experienced an earthquake for the first time. Coincidentally, she was pumping breast milk: "I'm pumping, staring at my beautiful picture of my beautiful baby boy, and my husband's on the other line, and the room starts to shake."

The mother of three hid  behind a doorframe though she confessed that she didn't stop pumping:  "You know us girls, we just do it, don't we? When you do it, you just do it."
