Samsung Galaxy S3 Slim Review: Following The Samsung Tradition Is A 4.5" Midrange Handset Headed For The Brazilian Market, Specs Include 1GB RAM, Quad-Core CPU, 5MP Camera

Samsung Galaxy S3 Slim review: In a rather unusual fashion, the world's leading smartphone maker has quietly launched a new quad-core powered device bound for the Brazilian market.

A few days ago, Samsung launched what it appears to be another variation of its previous flagships, and it has chosen Brazil to cater to the new midrange device.

According to reports, the device will have a 4.5-inch TFT screen with qHD (960 x 540) resolution. We know that's not ground-breaking by all means, but if the smartphone aims at the mass market, then decreasing the resolution is a good place to start.

On the performance side, the Galaxy S3 Slim is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core chipset and 1GB of RAM, more than enough for smartphone users who only use their devices for text messaging, calling, and occasional gaming.

In the photography side, the Android-powered device packs a 5-megapixel camera at the back, and a 0.3MP front cam. The Galaxy S3 Slim also has an 8GB internal memory, and a microSD card slot for memory expansion.

The Samsung device runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box, and packs a 2,100mAh battery.

While there are no pricing details yet for the Samsung Galaxy S3 Slim, we expect the device to be priced at around $150 to 200.
