Free Games For Xbox Live Gold Members: Download ‘Dungeon Defenders’ For 0 Microsoft Points Until March 31; ‘Games With Gold’ Program To ‘Evolve’

The free games for Xbox Live Gold members this March are "Civilization Revolution" and "Dungeon Defenders."

From March 1 - 15, Xbox Live Gold members were able to grab their own copy of "Civilization Revolution" at no cost at all. And on March 16, it was replaced by the second free game for Xbox Live Gold member this March - the multiplayer co-op tower defense and action role-playing game "Dungeon Defenders."

As posted on Examiner, the current free game for Xbox Live Gold members can be played by up to 4 players, and they can choose from four classes, the Apprentice, Huntress, Monk and Squire to be able to "defend their dungeons (hence the name) against waves of goblins, orcs, kobolds, ogres, and wyverns."

Normally priced at $14.99, Dungeon Defenders is now the second of the two free games for Xbox Live Gold members this March. It can be downloaded from the Xbox Store for 0 Microsoft Points only until March 31.

Meanwhile, Dungeon Defenders fans should be delighted to know that a game sequel is coming, "scheduled to launch this Spring 2014," as posted on Joystiq.

Free games for Xbox Live Gold members is offered under Microsoft's program called "Games With Gold." This program offers two free games for Xbox Live Gold members each month, one available on the 1st day of the month, and will then be replaced by the second free title on the 16th. The free games for Xbox Live Gold members can be kept forever, even after the subscription lapses.

Moreover, as further stated on Examiner, Phil Spencer, the Xbox VP told Polygon that the Games with Gold program will evolve, hinting that "more recent games and more first-party titles could be coming.
