"The Mentalist" season 6 cast Amanda Righetti is set to play a pediatrician in crossover episodes of "Chicago P.D." and "Chicago Fire." Meanwhile, the CBS drama starring Simon Baker as Patrick Jane was accused of pushing an "anti-fracking agenda" over its recent episode "Grey Water."

"Chicago P.D." is a television drama that's a spin-off of the highly successful NBC series "Chicago Fire," which is a series about Chicago firefighters.

E! News reported that Amanda Righetti, who is still part of "The Mentalist" season 6 but is set to leave the series after this season, might also be cast in another series "Chicago M.D."

"Chicago M.D." chronicles the experiences of the staff and administrators of a Windy City hospital.

"While another source says there are no plans for a doctors-based show, we can't help but think it's a great idea," wrote Marc Malkin for E! "'Chicago Fire' and 'Chicago P.D.' have been mega-successes for NBC and series creator Dick Wolf, so why not expand the franchise?"

"The Mentalist" season 6 star Amanda Righetti plays Grace Van Pelt who is married to Wayne Rigsby (Owain Yeoman), a fellow former member of the California Bureau of Investigation. Amanda Righetti's role as a regular has been reduced to cameos depending on the episode.

She appeared on "The Mentalist" season 6 episode 12 entitled "The Golden Hammer" where her character and Wayne Rigsby helped Patrick Jane and the FBI solved the case of the cartographer's death who uncovered a spy ring before he was murdered.

Meanwhile, episode 14 of "The Mentalist" season 6 drew some criticisms from a advocacy site over its "misleading" anti-fracking "propaganda."

"While the company was eventually cleared of the murder, 'The Mentalist' still relied on hackneyed clichés about the natural gas industry, portraying it as corrupt and responsible for flammable water,"
the blog site newsbusters.org said.

The blog site is a project of Media Research Center and seeks to expose and neutralize "liberal media bias."

"In the real world, much of this environmental propaganda has been refuted," the blog added. "In addition, many reports of contaminated water and other environmental hysteria over fracking have proved inaccurate or overblown."
