As "The Legend of Korra" fans await the Book 3 release date, the DVD release for Book 2 may be telling of when we can expect a season of "Change."

According to Avatar the Last Airbender Online, a projected release for the Book 2 DVD release date is slated for July 1 by both Amazon and Best Buy.

July 1 is a Tuesday, which would make the release date very realistic. However, this could very well be a stock release date for a product that is forthcoming.

Barnes and Noble, for example, has a listing of "The Legend of Korra" Book 2 Art Book with a September 16 release date.

So why is all this important? Because typically a DVD release precedes the premiere of the following season of the series.

If "The Legend of Korra" Book 2 will be released on DVD July 1, then it is highly possible that Book 3 will premiere right after it.

All we know right now is that a release date for Book 3 is "coming soon," so only time will tell when it might be. Early projections of "Change" premiering in April or May is becoming less and less likely, though.

Reportedly, fans should "expect big things" from Book 3, while acknowledging flaws of Book 2. For those who didn't enjoy Book 2, this certainly helps build excitement for the upcoming season of "The Legend of Korra."
