OnePlus One phone: The OnePlus One is indeed shaping up to become one of the most anticipated handsets this time of the year. And with this new development, it will surely become a unique blend of performance and design. 

According to a recent report by Android Authority, the CyanogenMod-powered handset will come in a variety of back covers - and they're not your usual options. 

Style Swap, is the feature introduced by the OnePlus team, which would enable users to choose from several odd but interesting options such as silk, denim, kevlar, sandstone and bamboo. 

We have already seen devices with denim and kevlar back covers, but we just cannot imagine bringing out a smartphone that is covered with silk save for the display, we assume. 

According to Pete Lau, OnePlus founder and CEO, "The designs are elegant and attractive, but still durable and strong. No matter how often you like to change the look of your phone, there will always be a cover that will fit the mood."

We know that Kevlar is durable and silk is attractive, but can the two mix together? It can also be that the back covers are mere imitations of the real thing, which means a cover may look like bamboo, but actually it is just a plastic-coated design. 

Anyway, the OnePlus One launch would be in just a few more days, so we'll eventually see if this smartphone is worth the hype.
