iPhone 6 Rumors: Upcoming iPhone Will Allegedly Retain 8MP Camera, Apple Aims To Enhance Lens System And Image Quality Instead

iPhone 6 Rumors: Now that the dust has settled after the CES and MWC in January and February, and the unveiling of the All New HTC One, Oppo Find 7 and OnePlus One would all be done by the end of the month, we are now moving forward to Apple's upcoming iPhone.

According to a report by GSM Arena, recent rumors buzzing all over the Web claim that the iPhone will not get a higher resolution camera, contrary to previous rumors.

Now, that's not great news for people who love taking shots and capturing moments using their iPhone. So what's the catch?

In the report, the Cupertino company is said to focus more on the iPhone's lens system and image quality, in order to come up with an image that matches or looks even better than the one shot with a higher resolution camera.

A couple of days ago, Oppo unleashed its Find 7 that packs only a 13MP camera, but is able to produce images which seemed to be from a 50-megapixel shooter.

This could only mean that the battle for megapixel supremacy could be in vain after all. But still, it is one of the main factors which consumers check when purchasing a new smartphone.

So the upcoming iPhone 6 is rumored to get a 'better lens system' in order to boost image quality, but would the prospective buyer hold on to that promise without even a single boost on the phone's 8MP camera?
