Kim Kardashian's Vogue cover along with fiance Kanye West elicited criticisms online as Twitter is abuzz with Kimye's supposedly undeserving stint on influential Anna Wintour's magazine.

One fan, Liam Calderone, wrote on Twitter that Kim Kardashian and Vogue "shouldn't be put in the same sentence."

The sentiments over Kim Kardashian's Vogue cover was echoed by one Matt Bellassai who tweeted: "I'm gonna buy the Kanye and Kim Vogue issue just so I can burn it."

Per MailOnline, Chris Liu also posted on his Twitter that he "felt betrayed" by the April issue of Vogue and Anna Wintour.

One fan cancelled her Vogue subscription after eight years while another "quit fashion" altogether, MailOnline added.

All the criticisms over Kim Kardashian's Vogue Cover apparently didn't unfaze the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star as she took to Instagram to express her excitement over her dream to land on the cover of Vogue.

"This is such a dream come true!!! Thank you @VogueMagazine for this cover! OMGGGGGG!!! I can't even," Kim Kardashian wrote.

Her soon-to-be- husband Kanye West, meanwhile, said that Kim Kardashian deserved to be on the cover of Vogue because she's "the most intriguing woman right now," he told Ryan Seacrest during an interview last year.

"She's got Barbara Walters calling her like everyday, and collectively we're the most influential with clothing," Kanye West added.

Vogue editor Anna Wintour, however, took time to explain Kim Kardashian's Vogue cover in her Editor's Note.

"As for the cover, my opinion is that it is both charming and touching, and it was, I should add, entirely our idea to do it; you may have read that Kanye begged me to put his fiancée on Vogue's cover," she wrote

"He did nothing of the sort. The gossip might make better reading, but the simple fact of the matter is that it isn't true," Anna Wintour added.

Anna Wintour also added that Kanye West "is an amazing performer and cultural provocateur," while Kim Kardashain "has created a place for herself in the glare of the world's spotlight, and it takes real guts to do that."
