Reese Witherspoon Goes Bowling for Hits On Her Birthday; Reese Witherspoon Might Bag The Next Hunger Games, Why Not? She Once Gave Herself a Birthday Husband

Happy Birthday Weekend Reese Witherspoon, Reese Witherspoon turned 38-years-old yesterday. The prolific and highly accomplished actress spent the day in Nashville, where she once hit all the right notes as June Carter Cash against Joaquim Phoenix.

Reese Witherspoon hit up a local bowling alley to celebrate her birthday in Nashville on Saturday. Reese poted to her WhoSay account. "Having a ball at my birthday! #nashvegas #goodfriends #bowlersnotballers."

Reese started partying earlier this month when she took a "girls trip" to the Culinary Institute of America with friends like Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore.

Reese Witherspoon is hoping to get herself a winning movie franchise for the big day along the lines of  "The Hunger Games." Reese Witherspoon is teaming with Lionsgate to bring Kimberly McCreight's upcoming fantasy trilogy to the big screen.

Reese once got herself a husband as a birthday present. A friend brought Ryan Phillippe to Witherspoon's 21st birthday party. Reese saw what she liked and gift wrapped it for herself with the opening line "I think you're my present."

Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe got married in 1999 in Charleston, South Carolina. They have two children; daughter Ava in 1999 and son Deacon 2003. They split in 2006.

It just might be the next Harry Potter or Twilight series. After "The Hunger Games," the world is hungry for the "Next Big Thing."  The studio quickly snatched up the rights to Kimberly McCreight's "The Outliers," and Reese Witherspoon jumped in headlong to bring it to celluloid.

Reese Witherspoon will produce a movie adaptation from the upcoming young adult trilogy "The Outliers" with Lionsgate. The studio bought the feature film rights to Kimberly McCreight's upcoming novel trilogy "The Outliers."

Witherspoon is not currently attached to appear in The Outliers. She will produce the film alongside Todd Lieberman, David Hoberman and Bruna Papandrea. But if a good enough script comes along, we hope Witherspoon takes a plum part.

Reese Witherspoon chose "The Outliers" movie as her next production. There is no word on whether she'll act in it yet. Movies are looking for the Next Big Thing in Young Adult film. The Outliers YA books haven't been published yet.

Witherspoon and Lionsgate are both hoping "The Outliers" will have as much impact as their other YA franchise, "The Hunger Games."
