Macworld 2014 Release Dates: Upcoming Portable MacBook Could Be Tablet-Laptop Hybrid, Rumored Specs Include 12" Display, OS X, Improved Trackpad, No Fan

Macworld 2014 release dates: CES and MWC have come and gone and like the previous years, Apple did not release nor announce any new devices. But now that the dust has settled, we may now take at what the Cupertino company has in store for us for the latter part of the year.

In a new rumor, one of Apple's most popular devices - the MacBook is going to have a new model to squeeze in between the current Pro and Air models.

According to a report by TechnoBuffalo, a credible member from the WeiPhone forum posted a rumor that Apple is already working on a 12-inch MacBook with Retina display. And it's like anything we have seen before.

In the post, the laptop would not have a fan like most laptops and netbooks in the market today. This will allow the company to develop a much thinner frame for the device.

In spite the thinner frame, the rumored MacBook device would still run on OS X. We don't know if it would be touch-enabled, but if it will be, then we may be seeing the iPad Pro finally.

The forum poster also mentioned a redesigned trackpad for the rumored device, wherein there would be no hardware buttons for clicking.

Apple is expected to host an event in June, and we are eager to see what the Cupertino manufacturer will bring to the table.
