Nine member girl groups are to enter the Korean pop music scene.

Recently there has been numerous announcement of nine member girl groups. Such as T-ARA, After School also YG has been known of forming a nine member girl group as well.

Girls’ Generation is the biggest reason for K-Pop music representative’s to have a strong interest of nine member group. Girls’ Generation who has maintained as a nine-member group since their debut in 2007 has been the leading girl group in the K-Pop scene. Their popularity is not only within Korea but has reached out to Asia and Europe as well.

Other girls groups are preparing themselves to fight against Girls’ Generation’s position. First T-ARA and After School are planning to bring in new faces to propel their success.

T-ARA officially announced two new members will join the group along with the release of their new album this summer. Fans are growing curious as the two new members have yet to be revealed. Especially T-ARA has become more popular after new member Hwayoung joined the group in 2010 therefore fans are more excited to find out how the group will be reconstructed as a nine member group.

After School will also become a nine member group as they release their new album this June. New member Kaeun has been confirmed to join the group. The group since their debut in 2009 has a unique admissions and graduation concept following their group name. This allows members to be added or withdrawn in a natural manner. Members Uee, Lizzy, E-Young have joined the group a bit later and Soyoung and Bekah have graduated from the group.

Pledis Entertainment shared the new member Kaeun who is 17 years old and has charismatic vocals and powerful performances. She has spent her junior high school days in Japan, which will be helpful and beneficial for the group as they promote in Japan.

YG Entertainment expressed a possibility of a new girl group to debut dubbed ‘YG’s Girls’ Generation’ as nine members as well. Currently Kim Eunbi and Euna Kim have been confirmed as members of this group. YG has also revealed a mystery girl who is also a member of the group.

Although YG’s new girl group hasn’t been confirmed to debut as nine members yet fans are already excitedly waiting for their debut that will continue the formation of girl groups.
