Rumors were circulating that Nicole Scherzinger and her boyfriend Lewis Hamilton were engaged, but Lewis took to Twitter to debunk the claims himself! Though Nicole Scherzinger and her boyfriend Lewis Hamilton are back together after their 2013 break up, the couple are not engaged.

"Hey all, need to talk about these rumours. I thought I should let you guys know that I haven't proposed to Nicole," Lewis Hamilton wrote on Twitter on March 17.

Nicole Scherzinger was also spotted at LAX International Airport after a flight from London, England on March 19, and she wasn't wearing a wedding ring on her left hand.

The former Pussycat Doll, 35, and her British Formula One racer boyfriend, 29, have dated on and off for more than five years. They broke up and got back together in 2010, and then split again in summer 2013.

But in January 2014, Scherzinger and Hamilton reignited dating rumors when they were spotted on a dinner date together in L.A, E! News reports. They also dropped hints that they had reunited over New Year's by posting separate pictures on their respective Instagram accounts, at what looked like the same location of a snow-covered landscape in the background.

"He hasn't proposed," a source told Us Weekly about Nicole Scherzinger and her boyfriend Lewis Hamilton engagement rumors. "They only just got back together at Christmas, so it's very much at a point of working things out still."

Lewis Hamilton recently posted an Instagram photo with Nicole Scherzinger following speculation that the couple had gotten back together, and in the caption he referred to Nicole as "my wifey."

"This was a great day....truly humbled by the Sistine Chapel plus there with my wifey. #godisthegreatest #sistinechapel #blessed," Lewis Hamilton wrote with his Instagram photo, featuring himself and Nicole Scherzinger at the Sistine Chapel during their recent trip to Rome.

Once they are comfortable with their relationship again, it sounds like Nicole and Lewis could get engaged sooner or later!

A source told The Mirror: "During the time Lewis and Nicole spent apart, he was absolutely ­distraught and he said that if he ever got her back he would never let her go."

"He adores Nicole. They are so in love. Their circle of friends think that now they're back together they will be ­married within months," the source added.
