Amy Adams New Movie 2014: Will She Talk To Aliens In ‘Story of Your Life’ Sci-Fi Film, After ‘American Hustle’ Oscar Nomination And Tim Burton’s ‘Big Eyes’?

Amy Adams may start filming a new movie next year! Rumor has it that "American Hustle" actress Amy Adams is in talks to star in "Story of Your Life," a film adaption of a short story by sci-fi author Ted Chiang. She also just finished working on Tim Burton's new movie, "Big Eyes."

According to Deadline, Amy Adams is in early talks to star in "Story of Your Life," which will be directed by Denis Villeneuve, who also helmed last year's "Prisoners," starring Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhaal, Viola Davis, Maria Bello, Melissa Leo and Terrence Howard, E! News reports.

Deadline describes "Story of Your Life" as a movie that "takes place after alien crafts land around the world, and an expert linguist (Adams' would-be role) is recruited by the military to determine whether they come in peace or are a threat. As she learns to communicate with the aliens, she begins experiencing vivid flashbacks that become the key to unlocking the greater mystery about the true purpose of their visit."

Who wouldn't want to see Amy Adams talk to aliens?

Adams was recently up for a Best Actress Oscar nomination for her work in "American Hustle." She just wrapped production on Tim Burton's "Big Eyes," in which she portrays painter Margaret Keane.

Production on "Story of Your Life" is slated to begin sometime next year.
