Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds might be very private when it comes to the details of their marriage but it doesn't mean that the two limit themselves from showing displays of affection when in public. Recently, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds attended a dinner party in Vancouver hosted by the 'Green Lantern' actor's mother, Tammy.

As they were about to leave the house, the 37-year-old actor opened the door for his 26-year-old wife who was then carrying cake. Far from her dolled-up 'Gossip Girl' character Serena, Lively looked casually chic in a dark skirt, maroon coat, beanie, and scarf. She complemented her outfit with a pair of black tights and black shoes. Reynolds, on the other hand, was clad in a plaid shirt, jacket, jeans, and a pair of sneakers.

Reynold is supporting his wife who is currently in Vancouver for the filming of her upcoming flick, 'The Age of Adaline'. He is oftentimes seen visiting his wife during filming breaks.

It was previously reported that Reynolds' mother didn't approve of Lively because of her job as an actress. Tammy reportedly believes that actresses always have their careers as their ultimate priorities.

Another alleged source of conflict is Tammy's suggestion that the couple's future children should grow up in Canada where the environment is safer. However, the 'Sisterhood of Travelling Pants' actress reportedly doesn't want to stay in Canada because the work opportunities are in New York City.

Reynolds' previous marriage with Scarlett Johansson might be a contributing factor as to why Tammy doesn't prefer actresses for her son. Nonetheless, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds' dinner visit is a good indication that the blonde beauty respects her in-law.
