Elle Fanning Prepares For ‘Maleficent’ Release; Sister Dakota Fanning Graces Uniqlo’s Spring Campaign, Talks About Growing Up

Elle Fanning's "Maleficent" movie unveiled the banner which features Angelina Jolie prominently at the center of a wide backdrop of the fantastical world. As the budding actress prepares for her biggest role, sister Dakota Fanning graces the Spring campaign for Uniqlo.

The Disney poster contains the entire "Maleficent" world "that audiences can dive into when the film debuts," said Movie Fanatic.

Elle Fanning's "Maleficent" also earned a TV spot on Saturday, March 29, during the Kids' Choice Awards on Nickelodeon.

According to the film's synopsis, "Maleficent" is the origins story involving the iconic villain from the Disney animated film "Sleeping Beauty" in 1959. Born with a beautiful face and pure heart, Maleficent (Angelina Jolie) had a perfect life in a forest kingdom up until peace is threatened.

Maleficent becomes the land's greatest champion but is betrayed, turning her heart into stone. Now bent on revenge, Maleficent places a curse on the invading king's daughter Aurora (Elle Fanning). Soon after, Maleficent will realize that Aurora is in fact the "key" to the kingdom's peace and perhaps her true happiness as well.

Elle Fanning's "Maleficent" will be released in theaters on May 30.

Meanwhile, sister Dakota Fanning rocked Uniqlo's Spring campaign with a new collection described by MailOnline as "preppy" due to the boyfriend jeans, plaid shirts and patent brogues. Dakota Fanning just gives a hint of smile but for the most part kept to her "moody disposition."

Dakota Fanning also talked about growing up and how she managed to avoid the pitfalls of fame growing up under the limelight in an interview with UK's Independent. The "War of the Worlds" actress started in commercials when she was just five years old.

"I'm kind of a self-aware and confident person," she said, adding that her classes at Gallatin in NYU are designed to be individually structured so that's perfect for her because "everything is tailored around the person and their individual needs."
