Ariana Grande, who co-stars with Jennette McCurdy on "Sam and Cat" and who has been dealing with blowback from the iCarly star's nearly naked selfies, responded to recent reports that Rihanna was laughing at her dancing during the recent iHeart Radio awards.

According to the media, Ariana Grande said Rihanna was just joking about her iHeart Radio Awards performance earlier this month.

Ariana Grande has been facing rumors that her show "Sam and Cat" will not be renewed and reports are speculating that it's because of Jennette McCurdy iCarly star's leaked "naked" selfies.

Witnesses say Rihanna was laughing at Grande's during her performance at last week's iHeartRadio Music Awards. Grande says that when the camera cut to Rihanna's table at the Los Angeles ceremony on May 1, Rihanna was "just being playful".

While appearing on the Australian radio program, "The Bump Show" Ariana Grande explained"I didn't see her laughing at me, but when I watched it afterwards it looked like she was just shocked because I was doing something different. Afterwards she was so kind to me, she was like, 'Lil' mama keep doing what you're doing because it's working.'"

Nickelodeon's hit show "Sam and Cat" has not been canceled for good in spite of media reports. Jennette McCurdy, iCarly star's "naked" selfies might not be the reason Sam and Cat was cancelled, but it could have been a full frontal, well, semi frontal, assault on the Nickelodeon. The iCarly star's pictures weren't naked, actually, but they were adult enough to have the media speculate that Jennette McCurdy leaked them to get attention at least.

Ariana Grande says she never planned to be an actor in the first place. She just took the job to get a record deal. Ariana told media outlets "I never liked acting. I auditioned for TV just to get a platform to get a record deal, but then I fell in love with acting because it was fun. After I'm done playing Cat Valentine I don't see myself doing much acting. But I would like to do a scary movie, or a musical."
