Sara Bareilles took a cue from Katy Perry in the video for her new love song "I Choose You." Just like Katy Perry's "Birthday" music video featured the singer serenading fans for their birthdays, Sara got into her fans' lives, their love loves for her new love song.

In her new music video, Sara Bareilles wanted to help plan the "most over-the-top, elaborate engagement" for two fans. Bareilles used the stories of two wedding engagements for the music video for her new love song, "I Choose You." The music video for "I Choose You" features two real life marriage proposals.
"I Choose You" may be on its way a new wedding standard song. 

Sara Bareilles' new music video premiered on Wednesday. On March 11, Bareilles announced an online contest to get fans to share their "#IChooseYou" story. Bareilles wrote "I'm looking for someone planning a proposal to a Sara Bareilles (me!) fan. If you or someone you know is planning a fantastic proposal, I want to help! ... The more elaborate and creative the better."

Bareilles asked her fans to send in stories that fit the #IChooseYou theme. Two couples were chosen as winners. Sara Bareilles and her team chose Matt and Chelsea from Los Angeles and Aly and Andrea from Denver. 

This comes shortly after Katy Perry recorded real-life birthday parties for her "Birthday" music video video. Sara Bareilles stepped into her fans' lives on the "I Choose You" video.

In the music video Sara Bareilles sings her new love song in front of a gray backdrop while video clips of the wedding proposals of the two couples play behind her. Matt and Aly pop the question during the bridge.

"I Choose You" is the second single from Sara's latest album, The Blessed Unrest.
