Sigourney Weaver Will Return in All Avatar Sequels In Spite of Dying in the First, But She Will Be Transformed.

Sigourney Weaver will transform in all three upcoming "Avatar" sequels.

Sigourney Weaver confirmed that she is return for the "Avatar" sequels by James Cameron.

James Cameron gearing up to shoot his three 'Avatar' sequels later this year, the "Titanic" director will be shooting all three films at the same time.

Sigourney Weaver is confirmed tol appear in all three sequels to James Cameron's 2009 sci-fi movie, Avatar, despite dying the first time out. Weaver's character  Grace was fatally shot by Stephen Lang's Colonel Quaritch in the first film. Sigourney Weaver's character looks to have a big part in the Avatar sequels.

The next three installments of the Avatar franchise, Avatar 2,  3, and 4 are in pre-production. James Cameron plans to shoot them all at the same time. Scripts for the three films are almost done. Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana are signed on to reprise their roles as Jake Sully and Princess Neytiri respectively, while Stephen Lang will return as Colonel Quaritch.  Augustine's return was actually set up in the original Avatar movie.

Weaver told Vulture "It will be challenging for me. I can't talk about it, but my part is a little different in each one. I'll transform somewhat. We'll have to talk again when I survive this. For now, I'm going to skittle around and enjoy this leisure time."

Weaver said "It's going to be an adventure. It will be awesome. I can't even imagine what I am taking on -  and what James Cameron is taking on - with filming three Avatars at once, but ... Peter Jackson did it with the Hobbit films, so we have that to look to."

"Avatar 2" is due December 2016, "Avatar 3" is scheduled for December 2017, and "Avatar 4" is planned for 2018.
