Korean drama “The Moon that Embrace the Sun” received an award at the 18th Shanghai TV Festival.

TV drama series “The Moon that Embraces the Sun” was awarded the silver medal in the Foreign TV Category at the 18th Shanghai TV Festival held at Shanghai, China on June 15.

Shanghai TV Festival was established in 1986 and has become the biggest TV program festival in China, holding the award ceremony, sampling of program fair, equipment exhibition, and varies seminars throughout. Entries for the festival include TV series and documentaries that have been produced within the past year.

MBC's "The Moon that Embraces the Sun," an independence day special "The Peak," and a documentary "Tears in the Antarctic" all advanced to the finals in the TV Movies and Documentary category.

United Kingdom BBC's 'Downtown Abbey' on the other hand has won the gold medal for the Foreign TV Series, and Japan NTV's "I am Mita, Your Housekeeper" co-won the silver medal alongside "the Moon that Embraces the Sun.”
