"You don't really think about it," Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said before the Dodgers' 6-1 victory in the opener. "It's kind of like going into their place last week, and they were cold. You don't really look at it any differently. You still have to execute."

Jhoulys Chacin (1-4) earned his first victory on Thursday against Atlanta, hurling seven shutout innings and allowing just two hits while striking out five. It was Chacin's longest outing of the season but the fewest pitches (85) he had thrown.

"It's big," Rockies manager Walt Weiss said. "He was really good the last time out, and it gives our club confidence when they see that. Last year, he put together one of the better seasons in Rockies history, statistically. We've got a lot of confidence when we see Jhoulys being himself out there."

The Rockies will have to worry about Grienke (8-3, 2.65 ERA).

Troy Tulowitzki leads the National League in voting for the all-star this game series. He has proven why with the way he has hit this season. The Rockies' shortstop entered the series leading the Majors in average, on-base percentage, slugging percentage and OPS, a .362/.454/.674 slash line.

"He's a guy who's dangerous," Mattingly said. "You got to get the ball to certain parts of the plate or he's going to hurt you. To me, his eyes have gotten a lot better this year. He's walked a lot more than he has in the past. He hasn't really struck out that much. He's just tough."
