HTC Desire 610 Review: HTC's Midranger Is An Affordable Performer

The HTC Desire 610 review came rather as a surprise as most people were already looking forward for the HTC One M8 release in March. From afar it looks like a One M8 in plastic because of its dual stereo speakers. However, if you look at it closer, you will see how it stacks among quality midrangers in the market today.

Packing a 4.7-inch display, it is rather unimpressive that the Desire 610 only has a qHD (960 x 540) resolution, which is pretty old. For HTC fans, another qHD smartphone which was the company's flagship back then was the 2011, and it was launched in 2014.

That is how outdated the screen resolution is for the Desire 610. Fortunately, colors and viewing angles are decent and can get any casual Android user throughout the day.

Running inside the HTC Desire 610 is a Snapdragon 400 chipset, a quad-core CPU running at 1.2GHz, and 1GB of RAM - pretty decent specs for a midranger.

Also on board is an 8GB built in memory with a microSD card slot for storage expansion. For cameraphone enthusiasts, the Desire 610 packs an 8MP primary camera while there is a 1.3MP front shooter for selfies and video calls.

In a comparison made by Trusted Reviews, the HTC Desire 610's could be one of the better midranger cameras in the market today. If you are looking for an affordable Android-powered handset with a decent camera, the Desire 610 is a great option.

Running the show for the HTC handset is a 2040mAh battery which may suffice given the low resolution of its screen.

The HTC-developed phone packs a plastic cover that easily gets fingerprints, though the matte plastic on the side and front of the phone helps lessen that a bit.

So are you now interested in getting this HTC midranger?
