The Good Wife Season 6 Spoilers: Carrie Preston Confirms Elsbeth Tascioni Return For Two Episodes, Plus Julianna Margulies On Alicia And Peter

As "The Good Wife" goes on hiatus before season 6, spoilers have emerged regarding the return of a fan-favorite character.

According to spoilers provided by TVLine, Elsbeth Tascioni might be returning to "The Good Wife" for two episodes in season 6.

“Right now they are talking to me about coming back for another two episodes,” said Preston. "I would love to go back. I would love to be there full-time. If it were up to me, I would be.”

Recently, rumors have been flying on discussions of a spin-off series from "The Good Wife" featuring Tascioni.

"We've discussed it internally," said co-creator Robert King. "It always comes down to where you can put your energy. Our worry is that—we're not the kind of showrunners, unfortunately, who can take our eyes off this and do two things at once. I wish we could because there's no one more fun to work with and better comedian than Carrie Preston. There's such a cool show there."

And now that Carrie Preston is nearing the end of her tenure on "True Blood," it seems the actress is game for a spin-off should there be one.

"A spinoff could really work in that kind of 'Monk' way, a drama but has a lot of levity to it and, you know, it's the case of the week and how is this woman going to use all of her mind tricks to make it happen in surprising and entertaining ways?"

Meanwhile, spoilers from Julianna Margulies confirms that "The Good Wife" season 6 will feature a political marriage between Alicia and Peter, and no more.

"There’s an incredible respect they have for each other, for their minds, and politically, and as lawyers,” said Margulies. “But I think in the last scene of ‘The Last Call,’ when Alicia closes her eyes, [it’s similar] to when she slaps [Peter's] face in the pilot. It was like a slap for her to wake up."

"I feel like her closing her eyes was her way of saying, ‘I have wasted my time with this guy, and I’m not going to let that happen again.’ I don’t know how you repair the damage that’s done without it constantly rearing its ugly head. I don’t think you can.”
