Upcoming Blackberry Phones 2014: New 'Kopi' Smartphone Spotted In Vietnam, Specs Incl. 4.5" Display, 1.5GB RAM, 5MP Shooter

After the commotion within Blackberry's backyard almost a year ago, who would've thought that there would still be upcoming Blackberry phones for 2014?

Several months ago, the phone manufacturer unleashed its first Blackberry phone which was developed by Foxconn, and it was well received in its target country - Indonesia.

Now, it looks like Blackberry is looking at emerging Asian markets as another Blackberry smartphone was spotted, this time in Vietnam.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the Blackberry handset appeared in a local store in Vietnam and packs specs which go between the 4.2-inch Blackberry Z10 and the 5-inch Blackberry Z30.

In the report, the handset dubbed Blackberry Kopi sports a 4.5-inch display with HD (1280 x 720) resolution, a 1.5GB RAM and a 5-megapixel shooter at the back.

There's certainly nothing spectacular about the Blackberry Kopi spotted in Vietnam, but for loyal Blackberry fans, this is a dream come true.

Also on board the Blackberry 'Kopi' is a 2,100mAh battery that will last almost the entire day with light to moderate use. In the device spotted in a Vietnam, the design appears to be in line with previous rumors about a new Blackberry phone with a QWERTY keypad, though that is still not confirmed until now.

Almost this time last year, the Canada-based phone manufacturer has been reportedly looking for businesses who can buy out the company and save it from further financial ruin. Late last year, a company showed interest in buying Blackberry, but ultimately the deal did not push through.

Current CEO John Chen took over the reins and is now doing a good job in not totally destroying Blackberry's legacy in the mobile industry.

So far the company has officially unveiled the 'Jakarta' phone which is exclusive in the Indonesia, and now this one is a Vietnam-only handset. Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines could very much house the next BB mobile as these countries are known for their strong mobile markets.
