Boy band BTS will reveal their hip-hop monster characters on June 23.

On June 19, Big Hit Entertainment stated: "We developed characters based on the seven members of BTS in collaboration with CJ E&M for a period of one year and three months. The characters are based on the members' personality, appearance, and hobbies. The completed characters will be revealed through CJ E&M's global platform Mwave's BTS online fan meeting 'MEET&GREET BTS Summer Package'."

The characters of BTS will be produced as dolls and stickers; in July, webtoons based on these characters will be also available.

Webtoons will be available in Korean and Japanese for international fans.

CJ E&M's animation department staff stated: "We've been developing these characters for over a year, and will expand our celebrity base to expand this concept globally."

Meanwhile, the character products can be available through the BTS shopping mall, planned to open in July.
