Rosario Dawson Cast In Marvel Netflix Daredevil Show: Joining Charlie Cox of 'Boardwalk Empire: Production Begins This Summer On Location In Hell's Kitchen [PHOTO]

For anyone who has actually lived in Hell's Kitchen recently, your biggest concern is a lack of grocery stores, not crime. For anyone who remember's Ben Affleck's Daredevil, heres to hoping this is better. Rosario Dawson has been cast in the upcoming Marvel Netflix Daredevil show, being made in Hell's Kitchen Manhattan.

Her position in the show has been explained as a "key guest star," meaning she won't appear in every episode of the show, but her character will have significant impact on the plot. Rosario Dawson will be playing a dedicated strong willed young woman determined to heal the wounds of Hell's Kitchen, but when she meets Matt Murdoch (Daredevil) she forever changes his fight against injustice.

Marvel's head of television, Jeph Loeb said in a statement, "Rosario Dawson is one the most charismatic, talented and powerful actresses in Hollywood, so she was always at the top of our list for Marvel's Daredevil," Jeph Loeb, Marvel's head of television, said in a statement. "Her role in the series is absolutely critical to Matt Murdock's journey to become the hero we know as Daredevil."

The 35-year-old actress appeared in two graphic novel adaptations already: "Sin City" in 2005 and recently finished "Sin City: A Dame To Kill For," Which opens August 22. Rosario also has a leading role in the upcoming comedy "Finally Famous" written, directed and also starring comedian Chris Rock.

The actress will be joining Charlie Cox of Boardwalk Empire and Vincent D'Onofrio from "Full Metal Jacket" There has been no announcement as to when the show will be available, but when it is all the episodes will be available at once and primed for binge watching. Production will begin on location in Hell's Kitchen this summer.
