2014 NBA Free Agency Rumors & Predictions: Xavier Henry Returns To Los Angeles? Best Poster Dunk Of The Year[VIDEO] May Boost His Price! Will Lakers Match?

The 2014 NBA Free Agency Rumors & Predictions have started to role for all free agents. The LA Lakers have a lot of them, and some of them want to return, some want more money. Xavier Henry just wants to play.

Xavier Henry was a promising prospect from Kansas. He was drafted 12th in 2010, before Eric Bledsoe and Larry Sanders (nba.com) but he disappointed from Day 1. Eventually he was traded and assigned to the D-League. He got a new lease on NBA life when the Lakers lost Dwight Howard and had to fill their roster with minimum wage players.

He had this highlight reel at the middle of the season, considered the best poster dunk of the year, placed his name on the radar.

Henry underwent surgery on his right wrist and he still has five weeks to heal. ESPN talks to him about his plans:

"I'm happy with that. I've gone through this since April. I had my surgeries in April, so it's been a long time. But I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and I feel good. So I feel like I'm heading in the right direction. I'm all right."

He also has praise for the Lakers team, who continues to help him out: "I think as long as I don't sign with someone else, I think they'll help me. Because I'm a decent guy and I don't treat anybody too bad, where they're like, 'Ah, you're not under contract; we're not going to help you anymore. Have fun with a gimp leg and a messed up wrist. I think they'll help me through it, and they'll see me to 100 percent."

On his free agent plans:

"Last year it was kind of just like a, 'Hey, we got to find a great place to go and then get there on a nonguaranteed [deal] and just show them what you can do' type of thing. I'm optimistic that I'll have a little better deal [this summer], hopefully. All I know is I can play. And when I'm 100 percent next season, I'm going to bring the energy and be able to play."

There won't be any teams calling about him as long as he's still recovering from injury. They need to see whether he can play again. Last year was a golden opportunity and he made the most of it until he got injured.

Like Henry, teams will have to wait and see.
